The inaugural edition of the Oman Classics 2025 exceeded all expectations and set new standards for the future of the classic car scene in the Middle East. From February 17 to 22, both participants and spectators experienced an event of the highest caliber, showcasing the perfect blend of tradition, automotive history, and spectacular landscapes.
At HK-Engineering, we consciously chose to engage in this venture because we are firmly convinced that the classic car scene in the Middle East has a great future. This rally marked the beginning of a long-term project.
A total of no fewer than nine 300SL cars participated, most of which were flown in from Germany.
The four-day program offered participants a series of highlights that left no wishes unfulfilled. A special moment was the vehicle presentation directly by the sea at the exclusive Shangri-La Al Husn Hotel, attended by high-ranking personalities from politics and business. More unforgettable experiences followed, including a stop at the 5-star Alila Hotel, perched on the highest rock in the region, an overnight stay at a desert camp, and the closing event in Muscat, set in a historic ambiance.
For the Sultanate of Oman, this was the first event of its kind, and both the organizers and participants were extremely satisfied. «The country not only surprised us with its impressive beauty but also with its hospitality and enthusiasm for events like this,» said an excited participant.
The rally was made possible through the combined efforts of HK-Engineering and the local team of Zainab Al Mamari and Manuel Kiefer. All 300SLs safely reached the finish line – a testament to the quality of the vehicles and the professional support provided by HK-Engineering.
The Oman Classics 2025 was a tremendous success and received very positive feedback from all sides. The rally has the potential to become a permanent fixture in the international calendar for classic car enthusiasts and will undoubtedly continue to grow in the coming years.
