On April 10, the Franciacorta Historic retro rally took place for the fourteenth time in Italy. 130 crews went to the start of the rally, 125 of which were included in the final protocol: three crews retired for technical reasons, two others were disqualified due to missing some KV (time control points).
The winners of the rally this year were Riboldi’s father and son Alberto and Federico in a Fiat 508 from 1937. The Scuderia Franciacorta Motori crew beat their closest rivals Domenico Battagliola and Paolo Fredi in a 1926 Bugatti Type 37 by 15.61 points.
Closed the top three winners Fabio and Marco Salvinelli on the 1954 Fiat 1100/103. The 2020 winners, Edoardo Bellini / Roberto Tiberti, finished only in seventh place. Due to technical problems, the crew had to change the Fiat 508 C from 1937 to the Fiat 514 S from 1937 from 1931.
In the team standings, the best were the crews from Franciacorta Motori — 685.10 points, the Classic Team got the second place (688.07), the third line of the protocol was taken by the Brescia Corse team (828.48).
The best foreign crew of this year were the representatives of Switzerland — Ferruccio and Carlo Nessi on the 1928 Riley Brooklands. The victory in the women’s competition was won by Federica Bignetti Bignetti and Luisa Ciatti in a 1960 Alfa Romeo Giulietta Spider Veloce.
