In the province of Brescia, on October 2-3, the thirteenth “Franco Mazzotti Cup” was held. More than 130 crews went to the start of the retro rally, including the winners and prize-winners of previous years «Mille Miglia» — Andrea Vesco/Fabio Salvinelli (2021), Andrea Belometti (silver medalist 2021), Sergio Sisti/Anna Gualandi (2020 silver medalists), reigning Gran Premium Winners Nuvolari Lorenzo and Mario Turelli.

Four-time Mille Miglia winner Andrea Vesco won a 19.33 point lead in a 1934 Fiat 508 S Balilla Sport. For the Italian, this is the fourth victory at the Franco Mazzotti Cup. Thanks to this victory, Vesco set a new record for the number of victories, before that Mocheri / Bonetti and Vesco/Guerini had three victories each (from 2016 to 2018 Vesco played with Andrea Guerini).

The silver medalists this year are Alberto Aliverti/Stefano Valente (BMW 328 Roadster, 1937). Rounding out the top three winners Guido Barcella/Ombretta Ghidotti (Fiat 508 C, 1938 release).

Among the women’s crews, the strongest this year were Federica Bignetti Bignetti/Luisa Ciatti (Fiat 508 S 1935).

The team competition was won by representatives of Brescia Corse — Turelli, Belometti/Vavassori Belometti, Peli/ Dona.
