Auction house Sotheby’s held a four-day auction in Auburn Park. Total sales reached USD 15.8 million, 97% of lots were sold. In the auction was attended by representatives of 46 states.

Top sales were led by a sightseeing bus running through Yellowstone National Park. Despite the upgrades (eight-cylinder engine, Ellision automatic transmission and V-8 Allision automatic transmission, upgraded with power steering), the 1936 bus was sold for 550 thousand US dollars, which is four times its original cost. The proceeds were donated to The Bighorn Basin Paleontological Institute Modern.

In second place according to the results of the auction is one of the most desirable Porsches in the history of the Stuttgar automaker — the Porsche 356 C Carrera 2 Coupe. One of 126 cars produced in 1964 was sold for $ 368,500. And formally it became the most expensive car of the auction.

Closed the top three in the Porsche 356 A 1600 Cabriolet 1956 release. A car that had stood for decades in a barn in Salem, Ohio, went under the hammer for $ 236,800 with a starting price of $ 95,000.
