Retro-automobile season is to relaunch in the Dolomites

Scuderia Trentino in association with Canossa Events have announced that after a long break there is going to be a restart of retro-rallies on the Apennine Peninsula and the first event there will be «Stella Alpina» which is scheduled for June 26-28 and will go along the picturesque roads of the Dolomites Region.

On Day 1 in the morning the equipages will go through the technical check-up and scrutineering and after lunch the first of them is to set off from Trento. The route will lie on the path past the famous hillclimb Trento-Bondone, a romantic Toblino Lake as well as thermal springs of Comano and lead the duos to Madonna di Campiglio.

On Day 2 the participants will find themselves mostly on mountain roads. After going through many passes, such as Passo Lavaze, Val del Adige and Passo della Mendola and visiting Val di Sole, Folgarida, Val di Non, Piana Rotaliana and Cavalese the pilots and their partners will come back to the morning start.

The final special stage will occupy the participants only until the lunchtime and will go along the shore of Lake Tenno and Lake Garda and the checked flag will be waved to them in Riva del Garda, that the crews are to overlook after going past the Ballino Pass.

This year the organisers, who have, of course, followed all the necessary safety measures, are implementing a special «non-competitive» category. It means that everyone who owns a classic car may have a chance to drive the same route and enjoy the picturesque views, but just for aesthetic pleasure. All the required individual safety kits will be provided, in case the guests of the retro-rally will not be owing one by chance.

It has to be added that in various editions the winners of the rally were Roberto Vesco / Andrea Vesco and Giovanni Moceri / Daniele Bonetti. The defending champions are Alberto Aliverti and Stefano Cadei who won the 2019 «Stella Alpina» onboard 1937 Fiat 508 C.
