In Brescia the preparations for «the most beautiful road race in the world» are still in progress.
On March 18th 2020 the Board of Directors of «1000 Miglia Srl», in agreement with the shareholder Automobile Club of Brescia, in view of the sanitary emergency and in order to ensure that the event is held in maximum safety, has decided to postpone the «Mille Miglia 2020» which will therefore take place from Thursday 22nd to Sunday 25th October. «1000 Miglia s.r.l.», despite the complexity concerning the redefinition of the entire organization of the event, has been committed to reducing as much as possible the inconvenience that may arise to all those involved, due to the postponement of the race, but has declared by Franco Gussalli Beretta, president of «1000 Miglia srl» and Aldo Bonomi, president of the Automobile Club of Brescia, «people’s health comes first and and with this certainty «1000 Miglia» will participate in the collective effort to fight any further spreading of Covid-19″.
«To accomplish that», has continued Franco Gussalli Beretta, «we will rethink the
ways some of the moments of the race were managed, such as for example lunches and dinners, avoiding gatherings.
Also, in this particular edition the attention will be put more on the enhancement
of the Italian territories crossed by the Red Arrow and a little bit less to the sport competition, for example by reducing the number of the trials».
