After several months of restrictions associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, the world is gradually returning to normal, and organizers of retro events are trying to catch up by publishing more and more joyful news every day about the start of registration for a particular competition.
Hero Rally went even further and published a new calendar not only for the second half of this year, but also announced an exciting event in early February 2021.
So, on 21-23 August, Oswestri, known as the city that blends the heritage of the UK and Wales, awaits newcomers ready to dive into the exciting world of retro rally. The crews will undergo training and conduct two practical exercises on public roads (two regularities are planned on Saturday, and a four-hour rally on Sunday — editor’s note).
On September 5, Hero Rally invites beginners as well as crews with little retro rally experience to compete for victory in HERO Challenge Two, which will be held near the village of Bayster (the first event within the HERO Challenge was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic). Participants will have twelve stages — six special tasks and six regularity zones. The total length of the route will be 241 km (150 miles). The organizers will hold a master class for experienced crews.
Summer Trial will take place in Telford in 20 days (September 25-27). The event will be interesting both for beginners who are ready to plunge into the world of retro rallying, and for crews who want to «shake things up» after a long break. Three days and 640 km driving your favorite car on the roads of Mid and North Wales in the company of like-minded people — what could be better?
On October 10, the organizers invite you to take part in the HERO Challenge Three. Like September 5, the event will be interesting for beginners, as well as for crews with little experience in retro rallies.
In early November, from 5 to 8, experienced crews and crews who wish to test their strength in the fight against «experts» will gather in the capital of Scotland — Edinburgh. Cars manufactured before 01/01/1986 are allowed to participate in the RAC Rally of the Test.
A month later, Hero Rally is invited to the “end of the earth” — John O’Groats. Experienced crews will fight for victory on a route stretching over two thousand kilometers against the backdrop of the harsh landscapes of northern Scotland. It will be cold, but very interesting.
For those participants who want to tickle their nerves and test themselves and their car for strength, Hero Rally invites you to the Winter Challenge to Monte-Carlo from February 7 to 11, 2021. Winter roads, exciting night special stages and the charm of the French surroundings for five days in the company of like-minded people and your favorite car.
