Andrea Vesco won Targa Bologna

The fifth stage of the Italian Championship was held in Bologna, with 120 crews taking part on a regular basis, six of which represented the top ten following the results of the four previous stages. In seven and a half hours, they covered 180 km and passed 65 time control points.

The race was won by three-time winner of the Mille Miglia, Andrea Vesco in a Fiat 508C, who took part in the race without a co-driver, in a Fiat 508C.

«I have planned to race the Targa AC Bologna by myself and without a codriver, it is the second time ever I do», the winner commented to our project after the race.

«It is a double proud because I’m the only competitor that have finished this difficult race staying below the average of 3 hundreths of a second». 

Fabio and Marco Salvinelli of the Scuderia Classic Team Asd won silver, 54.01 points behind the leader. Lorenzo and Mario Turelli from Scuderia Brescia Corse A.s.d. became bronze medalists with a score of 318.92 points.
Gabriella Scarioni/Ornella Pietropaolo in a 1982 Austin Mini HLE was the best female duo. Nicola Barcella / Edoardo Pastremoli won the «Duo Under 30» category.
