Last Saturday, Andrea Vesco once again inscribed his name in the history of Mille Miglia, climbing for the fourth time to the top step of the podium. And this time with Fabio Salvinelli (Vesco won the race twice with Andrea Guerini and once with his father), despite the technical problems on the penultimate day of the race.
«Extremely difficult for the real hot found on the route and the though challenge in the last two legs. Compared to previous editions that I won this was the most exciting because it came in the last pc», said the winner of «Mille Miglia -2021».
Vesco also told how on the third day he had to repair Alfa Romeo 6С 1750 SS Zagato: «We broke the left front suspension spring in the middle of leg 3, got a repairing at the side of the street and once arrived in Bologna my team went by night to my mechanic (80km away) to fix and get the spring welded. The repairing kept me at the dinish line without risks».
