Scapalo won the stage in Lumezzane

In the commune of Lumezzane, on September 5, the tenth stage of the Italian Retro Rally Championship for regularity took place. 103 crews started the rally, including the leaders of the individual classification Alberto and Giuseppe Scapolo, the four-time winner of the Mille Miglia Andrea Vesco, the silver medalist of the Mille Miglia 2021 Andrea Belometti and the bronze medalist 2020 Gianmario Fontanella and reigning Franciacorta Historic winners Alberto and Federico Riboldi.

The total length of the route this year was 203 km, the route of the rally ran through the province of Brescia, including through Lake Iseo and Garda.

 The brothers Alberto and Giuseppe Scapalo won the victory in the main standings with an advantage of 4.49 points in a Fiat 508 C (manufactured in 1937). Second this year was Andrea Vesco in a BMW 328 (1939). Another family crew closed the top three — Riboldi’s father and son (Fiat Barilla 508 S, 1933 release).

In the team competition, the victory was won by representatives of Nettuno Bologna — Scapolo Alberto/Scapolo Giuseppe (Fiat 508 C, 1937) Dalleolle Massimo/Traversi Alessandro (Autobianchi A112 Abarth 70Hp, issue 1980), Rapisarda Giuseppe / Piga Danilo (Morris Mini Mk1 1965 release).

Federica Bignetti Bignetti and Luisa Ciatti won the women’s competition in a 1960 Alfa Romeo Giulietta.

The next stage will take place on September 26 in Treviso in the Venice region.
