Aston Martin tops the Bonhams sales in Greenwich

As part of the concours of elegance in Greenwich, the Bonhams online auction was held on October 21-25. Total sales exceeded US $ 4.3 million (96%).

Top sales were led by a 1966 Aston Martin DB6 Vantage Sport Saloon. One of the most powerful cars ever produced in Aston Martin history, powered by a four-liter engine and a five-speed manual transmission, was sold for $ 500,000.

The second place by the results of the auction was taken by a 2008 Porsche GT3RS Coupe of the Signal Green color, which went under the hammer for 313 thousand US dollars. Aston Martin V8 Vantage «Molded Fliptail» coupe, produced in 1978, closed the top three of the online bids. One of eleven cars produced for the USA and modified for use in Europe in the course of time (adjusted to European specification) went to the new owner for 246,400 thousand US dollars.

The fourth result was shown by a 1960 «Pacific Blue» Aston Martin DB2/4 Mk III sedan. The last car with a six-cylinder engine, created under the leadership of Walter Owen Bentley, was sold for 224 thousand US dollars.

The top five was closed by a 1965 Bentley S3 Continental Flying Spur, considered best in the class «Gran Turismo» from 1950 to 1960. It was sold for $ 201,600.
