The permanent exhibition of the Special Purpose Garage will open at VDNKh this year.
The complex will occupy Pavilions 53 and 54. Pavilion No.53 will display a unique collection of cars — from copies from the garage of the last Russian emperor Nicholas II to the modern «Aurus» (a series of executive and high-class automobiles). Also, the visitors will see archival materials about the formation and development of the Federal Security Service of Russia, and the history of the Special Purpose Garage as its unit could be learnt through multimedia technologies.
Pavilion 54 will display car simulators and interactive exhibits which will provide an opportunity to study the technical characteristics of a car and improve one’s knowledge of road safety. Masterclasses and lectures on history, engineering disciplines and automotive design will be organized for schoolchildren.
