In Brescia, on March 23, a press conference dedicated to the Mille Miglia 2022 was held, which will be held from June 15 to 18.
415 cars will take part in the race, including 11 pre-war cars. A few dozen more cars are on the waiting list and are ready to replace the retired crew at any time. A total of 600 applications from 31 countries were submitted.
There are also three Russian crews on the waiting list. If the organizers decide to allow them to start, they will have to compete under a neutral flag according to the rules published by the Italian National Olympic Committee and the Italian Automobile Club.
Note that the event will host 1000 Miglia Green, 1000 Miglia Experience Italia and Ferrari Tribune. The 1000 Miglia Green race will feature vehicles using alternative fuels. The 1000 Miglia Experience Italia is open to exclusive vehicles that combine design and technology. The owners of cars produced after 1957 traditionally will compete with each other in the Ferrari Tribune.
