The Vesco duo is still atop the leaderboards after Day 2

This year in May Andrea Vesco said that they want to try again to win the race (with his father). Then, while no one really knew whether the Mille Miglia would take place, or it would be subject to the same consideration as other retro-events. Five months after this conversation, we are watching online as Andrea and Roberto, step by step, are getting closer to their historic victory at the Mille Miglia. Someone in this situation will say that winning two days does not mean winning the race, and it is difficult to disagree with this. On the other hand, Andrea and Roberto Vesco are one of the most experienced and titled crews that started this year, and, as practice shows, such crews win the Red Arrow.

At the same time, we must not forget that rivals are on the alert and are always ready to take their place. If the last two years the struggle for the podium was on between Tonconogy/Ruffini, Moceri/Bonetti and Vesco/Guerini, then this year «new» faces are fighting for the second and third positions. On the second intermediate line following the results of two days are Gianmario Fontanella / Anna Maria Covelli, while Sergio Sisti / Anna Gualandi close the top three according to the results of the first half of the rally.

In contrast to the main standings, the leader has changed in the competition of female crews. The first place was taken by crew # 110 — Federica Bignetti / Rossella Torri, while the leaders of the first day of the competition, Silvia Marini / Francesca Ruggeri, moved to the second position.
