On February 13, a traditional RM Sotheby’s auction was held in Paris, the total sales of which reached €9,407,600 with 23 of 40 lots gone to the new owners. The auction was attended by representatives of 32 countries, for 30% of which it was a debuting auction.

Top sales were led by a 1971 Lamborghini Miura P400 SV, which went under the hammer for 2,423,750 euros. The car, unveiled at the 1966 Geneva Motor Show, changed the automotive world forever by becoming the first mass-produced mid-engined sports car for the public roads. Lamborghini Miura P400 SV is equipped with a V-12 3.9 liter engine by Bizzarrini and accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.8 seconds. The maximum speed is approximately 289 km/h.

In addition to the Lamborghini Miura P400 SV, four Italian cars were also sold in Paris: a 2008 Lamborghini Murci?lago LP640-4 Coup? Versace «E-Gear» (€ 149,500), a 1967 Lamborghini 400 GT 2+2 by Touring (€ 477,500), a 1977 Lamborghini Countach LP400 «Periscopio» by Bertone (€ 775,625) and a 1968 Lamborghini Espada Series I, also by Bertone (€ 173,000).

Equally successful for Sotheby’s was the sale of the Gold Collection, which included a 1973 Jensen Interceptor SP (sold for € 57,500), a 1979 Ferrari 308 GTS (€ 120,750), a 1974 Ferrari 365 GT4 BB (€ 308,750), a 1977 Porsche 911 Turbo Carrera (€ 103,500) and a 1972 Porsche 911 S 2.4 Targa (€ 161,000).

It should be noted that apart from the Lamborghini Miura P400 SV, only one car reached a six-figure sum at the auction — a 1993 Isdera Commendatore 112i. The one-of-a-kind car was sold for € 1,113,125. Considering its uniqueness, the Mercedes-Benz M120 V-12 engine and 10,500 km mileage, the price for it is just the right.
