RM Sotheby’s spent the first transcontinental online auction

RM Sotheby’s spent a transcontinental online auction “Open Roads. February» from 19 to 28 February. There were attended by representatives of more than 40 countries, 28% of which participated in the auction for the first time at the Sotheby’s.

The first day of the auction was dedicated to cars which are located in the UK and Europe. Total sales reached € 3,328,600.00. Top sales were led by a 1963 Aston Martin DB5, which sold for € 627,000.00. The top five also included a 1968 Ferrari 330 GTC (€ 379,500.00), a 1967 Aston Martin DB6 Volant (€ 379,500.00), a 2000 Aston Martin Vantage Le Mans V600 (€ 253,000.00) and a Mercedes-Benz SL 73 AMG 1999 (€ 170,500.00)

The second day of the auction was dedicated to cars located in North America. 61 lots were presented, more than half were sold — 43, and the total sales of the second day were $ 3,236,075.00.

The final day of the auction was dedicated to a unique collection of seven rare Porsches created for one owner. Top sales was headed  the Porsche 918 Spyder 2015  which went under the hammer for CHF1,001,000.00. The total sales of six rare copies of the German brand reached CHF 3,619,000.00.
