Giuseppe Maccario / Michele Luciano won the seventh round of the Italian Regularity Rally Championship, held June 12-13 in Sardinia. At the end of two days, the crew of the Nettuno team surpassed their rivals Attilio Bonetti and Gianluca Cioffi by 65.36 points.
«The race went very well. It was very pleasant, especially on Saturday, and today it was much denser. We traversed gorgeous landscapes that added value to our race memories beyond the result. The tests at the kart track played an important role, where very tight turns allowed us to prove ourselves in the best possible way. Even on Saturday we showed a good average result — 2.9 — and it was a lot of fun», said Giuseppe after the victory.
Duo No. 2 — Massimo Bisi / Claudio Cativelli in a Porsche 356 S90 closed the top three in two days of competition.
Roberto Paradisi / Marco of Russia became the best in the «Crews under 30» category. It should be noted that in the main standings the crew finished on the sixth line.
The best among the teams was Nettuno, consisting of Giuseppe Maccario / Luciano Michele, Antonio D’antinone / Amalia De Biase and Alberto Scapolo / Giuseppe Scapolo.
Crew No. 6 Gabriela Scarioni / Ornella Pietropaolo managed to beat Federica Bignetti Bignetti and Luisa Ciatti in the Austin Mini Hle and became the best among women.
The next stage of the Italian Regularity Rally Championship will take place on June 26-27.
