Passanante/Luongo were the best at the stage in Avellino

In Avellino, the third round of the of the Italian Championship on the regularity of retro cars was held. More than forty crews took to the start, including the multiple winner of previous years Mario Passanante and the winner of the Mille Miglia 2021 Andrea Belometti. The total length of the route was 150 km.

The victory was won by the two-times Italian Regularity Rally Championship winner, Mario Passanante, in a crew with Mario Ricaldo Luongo, driving a 1977 Autobianchi A112 Elegant.

«It was a great race, a great performance with a very low average of 1.7 penalty points,» — Passanante said after the race.

«In 2016, I won the Italian regular championship in vintage cars driving this car, then I sold it to a signor who lives in Avellino, who became my co-driver in this race,», — added Mario.

The silver medalists were Angelo Accardo/Filippo Becchina in a Fiat 1100/103 (1936) representing the Flanciacorta team. Closed the top three winners Francesco Commare /Robert Trombetta.
