From July 7 to 10, the Costa Esmeralda hosted the Poltu Quatu Classic elegance contest for the seventh time, organized by Auto Classic and Grand Hotel Poltu Quatu.

Six jury members representing seven countries: Italy, France, Germany, Switzerland, the Netherlands, the USA and Japan, headed by Paolo Tuminnelli, selected the winners in six classes: Peace&Love, Sex on the Beach, Ferrarissima 75, Supercar, Rally Queen, Something Special, La «Dolce Vita», as well as the winner of the evening in the nomination «Best of Show».

In the «Peace and Love» class, the victory was won by the Innocenti Coupe (1967), presented to the competition by Christopher Michaelsen.

The Bruseghini 750 Joker (1978), presented by the Sherwood Garage restoration workshop based on one of the most popular Italian cars in Latin America — the Fiat 600, became the best in the «Sex on the Beach» class.

In the Ferrarissima 75 class, dedicated to the anniversary of the Maranello brand, the 250 Ferrari 250 GT Tour de France (1958), presented to the competition by the American collector Adrian Labi, won.

The victory in the «Supercar» class went to the anniversary version of RUF CTR (2019) this year. Alessandro Pasquale took home the award in the «Rally Queen» class, presenting the Toyota Celica (1994) to the jury.

In the «Something special» class, in which restored cars participate, this year Porsche 911 (1982), presented to the competition by Oscar Bellina, won.

And of course, the elegance contest held in Italy could not do without the nomination, which is associated with life in this bright and hospitable country for millions of people around the world. The best La «Dolce Vita», according to the jury, was personified this year by the Lancia Aurelia B24 convertible (1956), announced for the Fabio Di Pasquale competition, who took part in the filming of the Italian comedy «Overtaking» in 1962. In addition, it was recognized as «The most glamorous car» according to the famous Larusmiani boutique, located on the most expensive street in Milan, Monte Napoleone.

The main prize this year was awarded by the international jury to Lancia Rally 037 (1983) by Eric and Raffaella Comas. The car participated about 40 years ago in the rally of the same name on the roads of Sardinia, and also became the third in the Tour de France.
