Ferrari 250 Europa GT became the best at the auction in Carmel

In the city of Carmel, on August 19, Bonhams auction house held anniversary auctions on the territory of Quail Lodge & Golf Club. 140 lots were put up for sale, 86% of which found new owners.

The most expensive lot at the end of the auction was the Ferrari 250 Europa GT of 1955. The first ever Ferrari GT car with the original chassis, engine, body, suspension and brakes was sold for 2,095, 000 at an estimated cost of 2,250,000 — 2,750,000.

In second place according to the results of the auction was the Lamborghini Miura P400 S of 1949. A bright lime-colored car went under the hammer for 1,958,500. Taking into account that the car was restored by the specialists of Bobileff and Driven Exotics’, as well as the original engine, Bertone body, the price is fully justified.

The three most expensive lots were closed by the Mercedes-Benz 300SL Gullwing coupe (1956 edition), sold for 1,737,500. The car, hand-assembled in September 1956 for the American market, after factory restoration can take part in the most prestigious events around the world.

On the fourth and fifth lines are the Stutz DV-32 Victoria convertible (1931 edition) and the Porsche 911 Type 993 GT2 (1995 edition).

The Stutz DV-32 Victoria in a single copy was sold for 1,435, 000 US dollars. For this price, the new buyer received not only a unique car of its kind, but one of the most titled American cars at elegance contests.

One of 57 Porsche 911 Type 993 GT2 cars (1995 edition) created for use on public roads, complete with a service book, user manual and tools, was sold for 1,545,000.
